Our IoT Heroes: Martina Schuler - Team Assistant

After studying business administration, Martina worked as a management assistant in the event sector, where she gained international experience. As a team & HR assistant she supports our teams and ensures smooth operations.


What were your main reasons and motivations to join us?

What really appealed to me was the opportunity to help build a business from the beginning and join a startup spirit that turns a bunch of people into a business. Here, I can bring in my organizational skills and enjoy working with interesting people. I have to admit that technology and innovation were not the main reasons to join, but my enthusiasm for our vision has grown rapidly. Maybe this is due to the many enthusiastic people who work on it every day.

What are the central values in your working environment?

There are many things that make this company a great place to work. It's often the little things that make you enjoy your work and motivate you. This includes, for example, getting personal feedback from the management or having a certain degree of freedom in the allocation of your own working time. It's great fun for me not only to support organizing big events in which we participate worldwide but also to be there myself. That makes a big difference because I can experience the result first hand.

What superhero power can you draw on when you need it?

Besides my talent to handle many tasks simultaneously and on time, it is one thing that often helps me do my work and that my colleagues also appreciate very much: I am (at least externally) always the peace in person. Even if it is very stressful around me, I keep a certain stoic calmness that allows me to concentrate on the essentials in every situation. That's also part of team management: cooling others down when necessary.

What are the most interesting topics you will work on and what will be the hardest tasks to solve?

The company is growing and every week new employees come on board. Each one requires a number of organizational jobs. But that's not all: As we are currently showcasing our new ecosystem at events around the world, a lot of flights and accommodations have to be organized, sometimes for 20-30 people. This can be very challenging, but that's exactly what I enjoy.
