What were your main reasons and motivations to join Security and Safety Things?

After a few years as a developer in e-learning companies, I wanted to discover something new. IoT has always fascinated me. Privately I use IoT in the Smart Home and have experimented with Arduino, an open source platform for the development of interactive electronic objects. At Security and Safety Things I can combine both profession and passion. The best of both worlds! 

What are the central values in your working environment?

Considering that we are a very young company, structures and processes are already extremely sophisticated. The work here is very professional, but there is still enough room for your own ideas. This fits in very well with my own way of working as I am familiar with developing complex systems in Scrum teams together with front-end and back-end developers. Not typical for a startup, that makes it special!

What superhero power can you draw on when you need it?

It is often said that developers don't like to talk. However, team communication is very important to me, so I would call myself the communicator among developers. I'm good at explaining complicated issues and trying to prepare information so that others can work with it in the best possible way. Maybe that's why I like to develop at the intersection between Full Stack and UX.

What are the most interesting topics you will work on here at Security and Safety Things and what will be the hardest tasks to solve?

I am working on Security and Safety Things' portal for integrators who help companies make their security cameras smart. The challenge for us as developers is to bring together two worlds on our platform, Camera OS on one side and the apps in our marketplace on the other. There are many complex problems to be solved along the way, such as licensing apps, which is not trivial.

My goal is to create the best possible user experience for all users, integrators, and developers."

What do you see as the main technology trends in IoT from your point of view?

IoT is currently developing an incredible number of ideas and applications. Many of them will become permanently established, others will disappear because they don't really create a benefit for users. In many areas, the range of new technologies will consolidate over the next few years. What will remain are the ideas and concepts that contribute to IoT's meaningful advancement. I am sure that our open platform will be one of them.
